Allegro MicroSystems (NASDAQ: ALGM), a global leader in motion control and energy-saving system sensing technology and power semiconductor solutions, announced the launch of a new high-power current sensor ACS37220 and the pre release of a compact patch packaged magnetic current sensor ACS37041. Compared with current sensing solutions based on discrete parallel resistors and operational amplifiers, Allegro’s new solution can improve efficiency and reliability, enhance system protection functions, and achieve a smaller bill of materials (BOM).

Infineon Technologies recently launched a new generation of CoolGaNTM semiconductor device series for high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV). STMicroelectronics has started mass production of a new series of automotive high side power switching tubes. The new product adopts STMicroelectronics’ proprietary intelligent fuse protection function and supports SPI digital interface, improving design flexibility and functional safety.
