Mouser Electronics now offers the ON Semiconductor GaNEXUS GaN FET, suitable for AI, industrial, energy, and robotics applications

Provide a wide range of semiconductor and electronic components ™ Mouser Electronics, a well-known new product introduction (NPI) agent in the industry, will start selling the all-new GaNEXUS from onsemi today ™ Gallium Nitride Field Effect Transistor (GaN FET). GaNEXUS GaN FET utilizes the wide bandgap characteristics of GaN to provide high-speed switching, low gate, and output charge while improving efficiency, making it suitable for applications such as AI, data centers, industrial automation, robotics, and energy infrastructure.

Ansenmei GaNEXUS GaN FET can achieve higher operating frequencies, higher power densities, and reduce the use of magnetic components in power conversion applications in the low, medium, high, and ultra-high voltage ranges. These enhanced discrete GaN high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) provide a voltage range of 40V to 650V, including 650V GaNEXUS smart GaN FET with integrated protection function, which can improve reliability and simplify system integration. The GaNEXUS solution aims to improve the way modern power systems convert and manage energy, helping designers simplify design complexity, accelerate development and certification speed, reduce heat dissipation and cooling requirements, and optimize the performance of the entire power supply chain.

In low and medium voltage systems such as AI servers, 48V intermediate bus converters (IBCs), battery backup units (BBUs), and motor drives, GaNEXUS can achieve smaller magnetic components, higher power density, better efficiency and thermal performance, improve control stability, and reduce switching losses. In higher voltage applications such as AI power racks, high-voltage DC-DC converters, PFC and LLC power stages, GaNEXUS can reduce the size of magnetic components by up to 60% in high-frequency AC-DC and resonant stages, and improve the power density of PFC, LLC and high-voltage DC-DC architectures, thereby saving thermal management and operating costs.
