Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE stock code: VSH) announced the launch of a new series of ceramic radial lead high-voltage direct insertion ceramic capacitors - HVCC series. This series of products has the characteristics of low dielectric loss factor (DF) and low DC bias, suitable for industrial and medical applications.

The capacitance change of the Vishay Roederstein HVCC series of ceramic capacitors under 15 kV conditions is less than 25%, which is only half of that of Class II ceramic capacitors. In addition, the dielectric loss factor of these devices at 1 kHz is less than 1.0%, which is 0.5% lower than that of Class II ceramic capacitors. Make it have lower power loss and higher reliability in high-voltage generator circuits for applications such as baggage screening machines, medical and industrial X-rays, air purifiers and ion generators, and pulse lasers.

The capacitance range of HVCC series ceramic capacitors is 100 pF to 1 nF, with a standard tolerance of ± 10%. The rated operating voltage is 15 kVDC, and the operating temperature range is -30 ° C to+85 ° C. The capacitor is composed of silver plated ceramic tiles and tin plated copper-clad steel connecting pins, with optional pin diameters of 0.65 mm and 0.80 mm. This capacitor complies with RoHS standards and is available in a straight pin package with two specifications of 9.5 mm and 12.5 mm pin spacing. It is sealed with flame-retardant epoxy resin material that meets UL 94 V-0 standards.

The HVCC series of ceramic capacitors can now provide samples and have achieved mass production, with a supply cycle of 12 weeks.
