Diodes launches the industry’s first Schottky rectifier with a very small DSN1406 2A package among its peers

Diodes (Nasdaq: DIOD) has released SDT2U30CP3 (30V/2A), SDT2U40CP3 (40V/2A), and SDT2U60CP3 (60V/2A) Schottky rectifiers, which achieve extremely high current density in the industry among their peers. With low forward voltage drop and thermal resistance, they have overcome design challenges for smaller and more efficient portable, mobile, and wearable devices. This series of innovative high current trench Schottky rectifiers uses only 0.84mm ² Chip level packaging (CSP) in circuit board space, suitable for various applications, can be used as a resistive or reverse polarity protection diode, boost diode, and switch diode.
These three products are the first to design a 2A groove Schottky rectifier packaged in X3-DSN1406-2, making them the smallest products in the industry; Compared to similar SMB packaging devices, these three products only occupy 3.4% of the PCB area. The typical size of ultra-thin CSP packaging is 0.25mm, which can also shorten the thermal path, enhance power dissipation performance, ultimately reduce the cost of heat conduction material list and significantly improve overall system reliability.
This series of products has ultra-low forward voltage performance (typical value is 480mV, SDT2U60CP3 is 580mV), which can reduce power loss to extremely low and achieve more efficient system design. Compared to competitors of the same level, it has superior Avalanche performance, ensuring durability under extreme working conditions such as transient voltage and providing additional reliability. In addition, these devices are completely lead-free and comply with all RoHS 3.0 standards, helping to achieve environmentally friendly design.
The SDT2U30CP3, SDT2U40CP3, and SDT2U60CP3 rectifiers are supplied in units of 2500 pieces.
