A new type of automotive grade inductor that meets the AEC-Q200 standard is very suitable for operating in low noise environments or applications that require higher inductor reliability

Bain Bourns, a globally renowned supplier of power, protection, and sensing solutions for electronic components, has released new SRR5228A and SRR5828A series shielded power inductors. Bourns' latest automotive grade power inductor that meets the AEC-Q200 standard adopts a ferrite core and ferrite shielding design, which can provide low magnetic field radiation, especially for applications such as driver assistance equipment, information and entertainment systems, and lighting design. The new inductors can operate in low noise environments and are also very suitable for inductors that often require higher reliability, such as DC-DC converters and power supplies in consumer, industrial, and telecommunications applications.

Bourns ® SRR5228A and SRR5828A provide industry-leading inductance and heating current, with a maximum inductance of up to 1000 μ H. The temperature rise current can reach up to 5.2 A. These inductors also offer a wide operating temperature range from -40 ° C to+150 ° C.

Bourns ® The SRR5228A and SRR5828A shielded power inductors are now available on the market, and all series comply with RoHS * standards and are halogen-free products.

*RoHS Directive 2015/863 dated March 31, 2015 and its attachments.

**Bourns products meet the "halogen-free" requirement, provided that (a) the bromine content is less than or equal to 900 ppm, (b) the chlorine content is less than or equal to 900 ppm, and (c) the total bromine and chlorine content is less than or equal to 1500 ppm.
