China’s semiconductor quantum computing chip packaging technology has entered a new stage

Recently, the media learned from the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Quantum Computing Chips that China's scientific research team has successfully developed the first generation of commercial grade semiconductor quantum chip circuit boards, which can support the packaging and testing needs of up to 6 bit semiconductor quantum chips, enabling semiconductor quantum chips to interact and connect with other key core components of quantum computers more efficiently, fully leveraging the powerful performance of semiconductor quantum chips.

Data shows that the quantum chip carrier board is an indispensable part of quantum chip packaging, which can provide basic support and signal connection for semiconductor quantum chips. The circuits and devices integrated on it can effectively improve the signal-to-noise ratio and read fidelity of quantum bit signals, ensuring the stable operation of quantum chips.

However, the investment in quantum chip carriers is large, the technical barriers are high, and the research and development difficulty is high. Currently, only one quantum computing hardware company in Denmark can produce semiconductor quantum chip carriers.
