The Vishay TSOP15300 series infrared receivers support all mainstream remote control codes
2026-08-10
On August 4, 2026, Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (NYSE stock code: VSH) announced the launch of a new series of infrared (IR) receiver modules to support infrared remote control applications. The Vshay TSOP15300 series devices support a wide modulation frequency acceptance range of 30 kHz to 68 kHz, capable of receiving and demodulating all mainstream remote control codes in the market, forming a single component universal remote control solution.

Standard infrared receivers are typically tuned to a center frequency, which not only limits compatibility but also requires configuring multiple devices to cover different code sets. The modulation frequency range of the receiver released this time is wide, which not only overcomes this limitation, but also reduces the number of components, thereby reducing system costs and saving circuit board space.

The TSOP15300 series receiver is designed specifically for consumer electronics products such as televisions, audio systems, game consoles, soundbars, set-top boxes (STBs), video projectors, etc. It can effectively resist ripple noise and interference from common signal sources, such as infrared radiation in energy-saving lamps and LCD TVs, as well as RF radiation generated by onboard Wi-F antennas.

If used in conjunction with a 50mA transmitter, this series of devices can provide a reliable transmission distance of up to 18 meters.

To simplify the design, each receiver integrates a photodetector, preamplifier circuit, and infrared filter in a 4-pin Helmdall package. During decoding, the demodulated output signal can be directly connected to the microprocessor. The TSOP15300 series devices have been optimized for short pulse coding and support a wide supply voltage range of 2.0V to 5.5V,The typical power supply current is 0.35 mA, and the maximum irradiance at 45 kHz is 0.2 mW/m2. This series of products complies with RoHS standards, is halogen-free, and meets Vishay green standards accurate

The new infrared emitter module can now provide samples and has achieved mass production, with a supply cycle of 6 weeks.
