Anlite Company launched a 1.31μm semiconductor optical amplifier with high saturation output power and low noise
2026-08-03
Anritsu Corporation has been selling the 1.31 μ m semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) AA3TB10EY since July 27th, aimed at meeting the growing demand for high saturation output power optical transceivers in data center interconnect (DCI) networks.
The newly developed SOA (Semiconductor Optical Amplifier) not only achieves a high saturation output power of 11.5 dBm, but also a low noise figure of 5.8 dB, providing excellent signal integrity and stable optical amplification performance. The device is installed on a compact ceramic carrier suitable for high-density assembly and is highly compatible with silicon photonics platforms, supporting the development of next-generation compact high-performance optical transceivers.
AA3TB10EY has been optimized for the amplification of PAM4 signals, with high output and low noise characteristics, as well as low polarization dependent gain (PDG). This enables it to accurately amplify optical signals while maintaining waveform quality, thereby contributing to high-quality signal transmission in advanced optical communication systems.
With profound expertise in optical device technology, Anli Company continuously promotes the development of optical communication technology through innovative products.
Development Background
Driven by the rapid development of artificial intelligence, data center networks continue to grow strongly. Optical transceiver modules play a crucial role in connecting network devices, while semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOA) are widely used to expand transmission range.
Meanwhile, the increasing demand for higher transmission capacity has accelerated the adoption and standardization process of PAM4 based transmission technology. Therefore, the market demand for semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOA) that can provide high saturation output power and low noise performance while maintaining signal fidelity is constantly growing.
In order to meet these needs, Anli Company has developed the AA3TB10EY based on its accumulated optical device technology and professional knowledge from years of serving the telecommunications market.
Product Overview
AA3TB10EY is a chip carrier type semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) installed on a compact aluminum nitride carrier. This product is designed specifically for integration into photonic integrated circuits (PIC), providing 10dB optical gain, 1.5dB polarization dependent gain (PDG), 11.5dBm saturated output power, and 5.8dB noise figure at a center wavelength of 1310nm. This device is highly suitable for ER and ZR optical transceivers that support data rates of 400GbE, 800GbE, and 1.6TbE.
