AOS’s all-new power solution, tailor-made for Intel Panther Lake/Wildcat Lake.
2026-05-21

Under the synergistic effect of the new digital multiphase controller and intelligent power level, the static power consumption of the system has been reduced to the top level in the industry, allowing the battery life of mobile devices to be extended by up to one hour.

Alpha and Omega Semiconductor Limited (AOS, NASDAQ: AOSL), a renowned power semiconductor and chip solutions provider that integrates design, research and development, production, and global sales, announced the launch of a series of new digital multiphase controller product families: AOZ71049QI, AOZ71149QI, and AOZ71146QI. These 4-output channel controllers are specifically designed for the Intel IMVP9.3 Vcore power architecture. When used in conjunction with AOS industry benchmark DrMOS and Smart Power Stage (SPS) technology, they will provide a complete power solution for the latest Intel Panther Lake and Wildcat Lake mobile processor architectures.

Outstanding performance of hybrid architecture

The inherent advantages of precise and flexible digital tuning and analog efficiency
AOS's proprietary Advanced Transient Modulation (A2TM) technology endows the AOZ71049QI series with a unique hybrid advantage: it cleverly bridges the gap between digital flexibility and analog efficiency, combining variable frequency hysteresis peak current mode control with advanced phase current detection technology. This achieves ultra fast transient response and maintains excellent current balance under both transient and DC load conditions. One of the core differentiating advantages of this series is its extremely low static power consumption across all Intel IMVP 9.3 power states - providing longer battery life for the next generation of laptops and ultrabooks by minimizing power loss.

Easy control of performance and temperature

Simple design and excellent heat dissipation efficiency

To simplify the development cycle, users can directly write configurations into the controller's Multi Programmable Memory (MTP) through an intuitive and easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI). This design not only eliminates the tedious manual welding rework during the debugging phase, but also effectively reduces the overall Bill of Materials (BOM) cost.

When used in conjunction with AOZ52986QI Smart Power Stage (SPS), the entire solution can unleash peak performance. The device adopts a compact QFN3x4 package and symmetrical pin layout, which not only greatly simplifies the PCB design process, but also effectively reduces parasitic inductance by 5%.

The biggest challenge facing SoC power supply in the field of mobile applications has always been how to strike a balance between performance and power consumption. Our AOZ71049 series adopts innovative control solutions that not only meet Intel's most stringent requirements with ease, but also achieve the industry's lowest static power consumption. For end users, this means that compared to competing solutions, the battery life can be extended by an additional 30 to 60 minutes.
