MALVERN, Pennsylvania, USA, Shanghai, China - December 3, 2025- Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE stock code: VSH) announced the launch of two new 1200 V MOSFET power modules - VS-MPY038P120 and VS-MPX075P120- to improve the efficiency and reliability of high-frequency applications in automotive, energy, industrial, and communication systems. Vishay Semiconductors VS-MPY038P120 and VS-MPX075P120 have modules with four and six MOSFETs respectively, packaged in a thin MAACPAK PressFit package, which is an ideal combination of advanced silicon carbide (SiC) technology and robust transfer molding structure.
The recently released power module integrates Vishay's new generation SiC MOSFET with negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor for temperature sensing, as well as fast intrinsic SiC diode with low reverse recovery time, thereby reducing switching losses and improving efficiency. It is suitable for photovoltaic inverters, electric (EV) and hybrid electric (HEV) vehicle chargers, motor drivers, welding machines, DC/DC converters UPS、 HVAC systems, large battery energy storage systems, communication power supplies, etc.
To improve reliability, VS-MPY038P120 and VS-MPX075P120 adopt robust transfer molding technology, which extends the product lifecycle far beyond traditional solutions on the market while enhancing thermal resistance performance. In addition, the low device height helps to reduce parasitic inductance and electromagnetic interference (EMI), save space, and achieve more efficient and cleaner switching characteristics. The pin matrix arrangement of the module PressFit conforms to industry standard layout, making it easy to replace competing solutions in existing designs and improve performance.
VS-MPY038P120 adopts a full bridge inverter topology with a low on resistance of 38 mW and a continuous drain current of 35 A at+80 ° C, while VS-MPX075P120 adopts a three-phase inverter topology with a on resistance of 75 mW and a continuous drain current of 18 A. Both devices have low capacitance and high-speed switching functions, with a maximum operating junction temperature of+175 ° C. The power module complies with RoHS standards and is halogen-free.
Samples of VS-MPX075P120 and VS-MPY038P120 are now available and have achieved mass production, with a supply cycle of 13 weeks.
