Infineon launches new EiceDRIVE Power full bridge transformer driver series, suitable for compact and cost-effective gate driver power supplies
2024-12-09
Infineon Technologies launches EiceDriver for IGBT, SiC, and GaN gate driver power supplies ™ Power 2EP1xxR Full bridge transformer driver series. The 2EP1xxR series expands Infineon's power device product lineup, providing designers with isolated gate driver power solutions. This series of semiconductor devices can help achieve asymmetric output voltage and power isolated gate drivers in an economically efficient and space saving manner. Therefore, 2EP1xxR is particularly suitable for industrial and consumer applications that require isolated gate drivers, including solar applications, electric vehicle charging, energy storage systems, welding, uninterruptible power supplies, drive applications, etc.
EiceDRIVER™ Power 2EP100R
The 2EP1xxR series adopts a compact TSSOP8 pin package with power integration technology and multiple optimization functions, which can generate asymmetric output voltage. This series is optimized for asymmetric gate driver power supplies through a unique duty cycle adjustment function. These devices support a maximum input voltage range of 20V and also integrate temperature, short circuit, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO) protection to prevent unexpected system failures.
The 2EP1xxR series offers four product models: 2EP100R and 2EP101R, optimized for low component design of IGBT and SiC MOSFET gate driver power supplies; 2EP110R allows for fine-tuning of the duty cycle to match the output voltage ratio with the application requirements of SiC and GaN power switches; The 2EP130R has been optimized for highly flexible design to meet different application requirements. This device not only provides 5-level overcurrent protection, but also enables transformer matching through 41 switching frequency options or external PWM synchronization function, and adjusts output voltage through 41 duty cycle options.
