Dior launches Hall effect chips that meet automotive specifications, offering multiple switch sensitivity options for optimal proximity sensing
2024-09-24
Dior (Nasdaq: DIOD) announced the addition of two enhanced high-voltage Hall effect switch chip series to its automotive specification * product portfolio. The unipolar AH332xQ and all polar AH352xQ are packaged in SIP-3, SOT23 (S-type), and SC59, providing multiple sensitivity options for operation. These two devices can be widely used in non-contact position and proximity detection product applications, such as seat belt fastening, door/rear compartment opening and closing, wipers, and steering wheel locks.

The unipolar AH332xQ will activate when the magnetic flux density of the correct polarity exceeds the defined operating threshold (BOP) and shut down when the magnetic flux is below the release threshold (BRP). There are ten sensitivity options to choose from, ranging from 30G BOP with high sensitivity to 275G BOP with low sensitivity. Different magnets and distances can be selected to achieve the best sensing effect.
