TDK launches multiple PoDL expansion boards for SPE evaluation of analog components
2024-09-18
TDK Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange code: 6762) announced the launch of a series of 10BASE-T1L plug and play test boards, known as EVB-DLA-00x. These test boards have six power levels to choose from, suitable for single pair Ethernet (SPE) evaluation boards for analog components (ADI) EVAL-ADIN1100EBZ and EVAL-ADIN1110EBZ. SPE technology can provide seamless Ethernet connectivity from a single sensor to the cloud, making the creation of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Industry 4.0 networks easier.
The 10BASE-T1L Ethernet protocol can not only achieve data transmission rates of up to 10 Mbps within a range of up to 1000 meters, but also provide power supply, which is known as Data Line Power (PoDL). TDK can provide a variety of inductors for these applications, including common mode choke (CMC), isolation inductor (ICI), and differential mode inductor (DMI).
These three types of components have now been integrated into TDK's expansion board and can be directly inserted into the prototype connector of the analog component evaluation board, meeting different APL and IEEE 802.3kg-2019 power level requirements, with a maximum power supply current of 1810 mA. These expansion boards are plug and play, making it convenient for designers in industrial and building automation applications to use analog component evaluation boards to start development work at any time.
