Diodes (NASDAQ: diod) has launched a number of Synchronous Step-Down converters that meet automotive specifications. The rated currents of ap6320xq and ap6330xq devices are 2a and 3a respectively, supporting a wide input voltage range from 3.8V to 32V. It is suitable for automotive load point (POL) product applications, including powertrain, electronic instrument panel, telematics and infotainment system. It can also improve the operation performance of automotive body electronics and lighting devices, as well as advanced driving assistance system (ADAS).
Ap6320xq device integrates 125 / 68m Ω high / low side power MOSFET, and ap6330xq device integrates 70 / 40m Ω high / low side power MOSFET. Both can provide efficient buck DC-DC conversion while maintaining the minimum number of external components. Peak current mode control and integrated loop compensation network help to simplify deployment.
The exclusive gate driver used in these buck converters can reduce the ringing effect of switching nodes without prolonging the on and off time of MOSFET. In this way, the high-frequency radiated electromagnetic interference (EMI) noise usually associated with switching MOSFET can be significantly reduced.
The combination of ap63200q, ap63203q, ap63205q and ap63300q devices helps to alleviate the frequency spread spectrum (FSS) function of EMI. In addition, the pulse frequency modulation (PFM) mode can greatly improve the light load efficiency. Its quiescent current (IQ) is 22 μ A (typical value), which is almost half of most competitive products. This helps to improve the level of conversion efficiency under light load.
Ap63200q, ap63201q, ap63300q and ap63301q support 500KHz switching frequency. Ap63203q and ap63205q support 1100khz. Their faster switching frequency can use smaller supporting inductance and capacitor components, which can further save circuit board space and comprehensively reduce the bill of materials (BOM) cost.
Ap6320xq and ap6330xq step-down converters are packaged in compact tsot26, with an operating temperature range of - 40 ° C to + 125 ° C. It has mechanisms such as undervoltage lockout (UVLO), output overvoltage protection (OVP) and thermal shutdown to ensure continuous and stable operation.
Ap6320xq and ap6330xq comply with aec-q100 class I standard, support PPAP, and are manufactured in IATF 16949 certified facilities.
