SCHURTER has launched a new enclosed FXP fuse holder and set new standards
2023-07-24
New FXP fuse holder suitable for ultra-high power applications
The enclosed fuse holder is fine and excellent: the fuse can be properly protected and easily replaced. According to IEC-60127-6 standard, the previous limit was 16A. Thanks to the standard extension initiated by Shuote, such limitations have become history. The new FXP fuse holder is designed for 6.3x32 fuses with a maximum rated current of 25A (IEC standard) or 45A (UL standard).
The new Shuote FXP fuse holder for 6.3x32 fuses is specifically designed for high-power applications, and its nominal data is an impressive proof: according to IEC standards, the rated value is 25A @ 500VAC (8 watts) or UL 45A @ 600VAC/VDC, making it the first fuse holder that has already met the upcoming IEC 60127-6 standard.
Reduction in high ambient temperature
The FXP series products are particularly noteworthy for their high current capacity at high temperatures. The IEC and UL standard ratings must be based on normal conditions, which means that+23 ° C (IEC standard) or+25 ° C (UL standard). If the fuse holder is applied to a higher temperature environment than the above, its function will decay as the temperature increases. The FXP fuse holder can achieve the highest 4-watt power even in ambient temperatures up to 50 ° C, while fuse holders of the same size on the market today can only maintain the same power value at room temperature; The characteristics of FXP can provide safety reserves when operating at elevated temperatures.
Efficient installation
Thanks to snap in installation technology, FXP can be used immediately; This product has an IP40 protection level and is mainly designed for indoor use; Welding connections can be used on the connection side.
