XP Power has launched the FLXPro series, completely changing the market for configurable modular power supplies. FLX1K3 is a 1.3kW configurable board mounted AC-DC power supply designed to simplify power systems for healthcare, industrial applications, semiconductor manufacturing, analytical instruments, automation, renewable energy systems, and robots.
 
The FLXPro series adopts a compact design The compact 1U exterior design measures 254.0 millimeters x 88.9 millimeters x 40.6 millimeters (10.0 inches x 3.50 inches x 1.6 inches), providing a market leading power level of 1.3 kW under high line conditions and 1 kW under low line conditions, with a power density of up to 58.9 W/cm ³ (23.2 W/in ³). Its compact size and high power density can reduce the size and complexity of terminal applications, solving the limitations of application space and the demand for increased power. FLXPro adopts SiC/GaN technology and fully digital architecture design, with an efficiency of up to 93%, thereby reducing system operating costs and cooling requirements.  
 
Flexibility and controllability are the core of FLXPro design. This product has up to four customer selectable and inherently flexible output modules, with a choice of 9VDC to 66VDC output and a wide adjustment range (+10% to -40%), which can be configured under on-site conditions and form part of the customer's active control system. The output module can be combined into multiple parallel and series configurations, and multiple FLXPro modules can also be combined in parallel to achieve higher power applications. This inherent flexibility optimizes application performance and control, meeting customers' requirements for fixed and variable loads.



A key difference of the FLXPro series is its unique design, fully digital architecture, covering both input stages and output modules. This digital infrastructure is the foundation of XP Power's new iPSU intelligent power technology, which converts rich internal data into usable information, enabling users to make quick and high-quality decisions, thereby improving application security and reducing operating costs.
 
XP Power's iPSU technology is enhanced by XP Power's latest intuitive user interface, XPInsight. It is developed based on the principle of human centered design (HCD), simplifying system configuration, monitoring, and control, and has advanced functions such as drawing, data recording, and simultaneous multi unit display. This HCD optimized UI helps to make quick and high-quality decisions about power application status, and provides intuitive status, operating conditions, and configuration information. It also integrates multi-level password protection and network security features to enhance security. By simplifying power settings and customization, XPInsight helps accelerate development progress and reduce engineering costs.
 

The FLXPro series offers a wide range of unique diagnostics, including a new black box snapshot function that reduces troubleshooting time after shutdown events by recording deep system states during and before shutdown. In addition, the three color LED displays the health status of the power supply, and the motherboard is equipped with a truth meter, which can be quickly and simply explained without manual or digital communication. Multiple internal temperature measurements enable rapid status checks through extensive temperature diagnostics, driving intelligent fan control and over temperature warnings and alerts.
 
Input, output, and firmware can be configured through the UI or directly through digital communication, enabling flexibility in application design and customized system integration. This allows for rapid adaptation to constantly changing application requirements during design, testing, and actual operation, thereby shortening development time and reducing system costs. FLXPro includes built-in, user-defined digital controls, signals, alarms, and output controllability that help optimize system design and visibility of application health, thereby reducing maintenance/testing time and operational costs.
 
The FLXPro series supports ES1 insulated digital communication, which can improve application security while reducing integration complexity and the risk of power damage. FLXPro uses PMBus for digital communication via I ² C, enabling real-time control, monitoring, and data recording. Provide standard external connections for output modules and system chassis, including AC OK and DC OK, remote suppression (global/module), fan fault/temperature warning, synchronization, and current sharing.


 
Safety and compliance are crucial, and the FLXPro series complies with medical and ITE safety certifications, including 2 x MOPP insulation for medical applications. This series complies with the SEMI F47 standard and meets various immunity and radiation standards, including EN61000-4 immunity and EN55011/EN55032 B-level conduction and radiation standards. Compliance with these safety regulations means that a single product can cover a wide range of applications, thereby reducing design costs. This product can operate within a wide temperature range of -20 ° C to+70 ° C.
