STMicroelectronics launches single channel load switch for high starting current applications

The difference between ips1025h and ips1025h-32 lies in the internal programmable current limit size. The current limit value of ips1025h is 2.5A, while that of ips1025h-32 is 5.7a. In addition to the main current limiting, each switch has a user programmable auxiliary current limiting function, which is used to handle capacitive loads with large initial starting current. The current limit value and duration are set with external resistance and capacitance.
These two devices are compact in size, support 8V to 60V wide voltage power supply, and the maximum withstand voltage of the input pin is 65V. They can work reliably in industrial applications. Typical uses of ips1025h include driving loads controlled by PLC modules, and designing factory automation equipment such as I / O peripherals and CNC machines. The maximum current limit value of ips1025h-32 is higher, which is very suitable for driving unidirectional motors of vending machines and other equipment.
