Mouser Electronics, a global authorized agent for introducing new electronic components and industrial automation products, is now selling Vishay Intertechnology's new VS-HOT200C080 200A 80V power MOSFET module. VS-HOT200C080 is an integrated device that saves space, reduces conduction losses, and improves reliability. It is suitable for 48V traction inverters in light electric vehicles (LEVs) and belt starter generators/energy recovery systems in mild hybrid electric vehicles (MHEVs) applications.

The Vishay VS-HOT200C080 200A 80V power MOSFET module integrates a half bridge configuration 80V MOSFET in a compact injection molded FlatPak HC0 package and has excellent RDS (ON). In addition, VS-HOT200C080 also has built-in shunt resistors for current measurement, bypass capacitors for improving switch performance, and NTC thermistors for temperature detection. This MOSFET adopts a low on resistance design, which can reduce conduction loss by 32% compared to competing solutions, and can save up to 15% of circuit board space compared to standard discrete solutions, further improving system efficiency. The drain source voltage (VDSS) of this device is 80V, and the continuous drain current (ID) is 195A (TC=+80 ° C). The injection molding technology of the power module can achieve highly reliable performance over a wide operating temperature range of -55 ° C to+175 ° C, especially during power cycling, enabling the device to meet the stringent AQG-324 reliability requirements.

The HC0 package of VS-HOT200C080 also features signal pins and power connectors of different heights, allowing designers to use separate power and signal PCBs, simplifying design and achieving more efficient wiring. To further save circuit board space, signal and power PCBs can be stacked.
