U-Blox (SIX: UBXN), a leading global provider of positioning and wireless communication technology and services, announced the launch of JODY-B1, a Bluetooth device that meets automotive grade standards ® The module is capable of supporting multiple Bluetooth dual-mode (classic mode and low-power mode) connections simultaneously.



As cars gradually become closely interconnected entertainment spaces, drivers and passengers increasingly expect to be able to independently control their in car audio and gaming experiences. Although traditional combination modules support a small number of Bluetooth connections, they cannot expand the number of connections to provide a complete Bluetooth experience for all drivers and passengers in the car. JODY-B1 overcomes this limitation by supporting additional Bluetooth connections, allowing each connection to run independently and enabling each passenger to connect personal devices such as headphones, controllers, or tablets without causing interference or increasing system complexity between devices.

JODY-B1 is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon ® (Snapdragon ®) Built for the automotive connectivity platform and QCA8695AU automotive grade chipset, it combines three major advantages: support for low-power audio mode (LE Audio), ability to operate at temperatures up to 105 º C, and a compact 13.8 × 19.8mm form factor to provide high-performance connectivity in space constrained automotive environments. Its UART interface based on the host and global certifications (FCC, RED, ISED, UKCA, Bluetooth Technology Alliance) simplify system integration, enabling car manufacturers and Tier One to quickly deploy multiple Bluetooth instances.

As a member of the u-blox JODY module series, JODY-B1 ensures cross generational Wi Fi ™ Consistency and scalability in design with Bluetooth solutions.
