Littelfuse Magnetic Sensor Product Portfolio Expansion - High Precision TMR Angle Sensor
2025-08-28
The new full pole sensor provides 0-360 ° angle measurement, better thermal stability, more flexible packaging, and is suitable for harsh environments

Littelfuse Corporation (NASDAQ: LFUS) is a diversified industrial technology manufacturing company dedicated to powering a sustainable, interconnected, and safer world. Today, it announced the launch of two new TMR based magnetic angle sensors, LF53466 and LF53464, which can provide high-precision 0-360 ° angle measurements with minimal thermal drift in harsh environments.
Both sensors use tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) technology and a dual push-pull Wheatstone bridge configuration, each with four high-sensitivity sensing elements for accurate angle detection along the X and Y axes. These sensors have excellent thermal stability, wide power supply voltage compatibility, and higher measurement accuracy, making them a powerful alternative to Hall effect devices.

LF53466 adopts standard TSSOP8 packaging, providing precise angle sensing with an error of less than 0.8 ° within the magnetic field range of 200-800 Gs. This product is highly suitable for industrial and automotive applications where mechanical solder joints are sturdy and easy to inspect, such as steering wheel angle sensors, pedal position sensors, and non-contact potentiometers.

LF53464 adopts a compact LGA8L package, which can achieve greater accuracy angle error below 0.6 ° and has a larger sensing distance, making it compatible with smaller and lower cost magnets. It is also very suitable for applications with limited space, such as rotary encoders, knobs, and valve position sensing, as well as consumer devices, including power tools and appliances.

Main functions and features
