Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE stock code: VSH) announced the launch of a new series of multi turn surface mount metal ceramic micro adjustment potentiometers - TSM3. The TSM3 series devices are designed for industrial, consumer, and communication applications with limited space in harsh environments. They come in a compact size of 3 mm x 4 mm x 4 mm, with a temperature range of -65 ° C to+150 ° C and a sealing rating of IP67.
Compared with the previous generation devices, the recently released fine-tuning potentiometer has reduced its external dimensions by 25% and has a wider operating temperature range. In addition, the TSM3 series allows for fine-tuning within a wide resistance range of 10 Ω to 2 M Ω, and the setting time is faster than that of a single turn fine-tuning potentiometer. These devices have a rated power of 0.125 W at+70 ° C and offer top and side adjustment options to flexibly meet various design requirements.
The TSM3 series supports automated PCB assembly and setup processes, which not only improves production efficiency, saves time, but also reduces costs. These micro adjusters are completely sealed and can withstand standard circuit board cleaning processes to ensure the reliability of automation control and sensors, welding and cooling systems, robots, power tools, smoke detectors, as well as radio and precision testing instruments.
The TSM3 series can now provide samples and has achieved mass production, with an ordering cycle of 15 weeks.
