M1 ultra is about equal to two M1 max, which is Apple's most powerful chip so far. It has a 20 core CPU, 114 billion transistors, seven times the number of M1 chips, a unified memory of 128GB, and can perform 2.2 billion neural network calculations per second.
Apple officially announced the addition of a new member to the M1 chip family: M1 Ultra. This chip uses ultrafusion architecture to connect two M1 Max together. The addition of 20 CPUs and 64 core GPUs makes the performance of this chip soar 8 times compared with M1 chip.
The chip contains 114 billion transistors, supports 800gb / s memory bandwidth, is equipped with 128GB unified memory, and the 32 core neural engine can perform 2.2 billion neural network calculations per second. At the same time, the power consumption of this chip is also very excellent.
At present, products equipped with super processor M1 ultra have been released:Mac Studio、iPad Air 5 etc
