Maoze launches Infineon PSOC Control C3 MCU for next-generation motor control applications

Mouser Electronics, a global authorized agent for introducing new electronic components and industrial automation products, is now selling Infineon's PSOC ™ Control C3 microcontroller (MCU). The power and performance combination of PSOC Control C3 MCU enables designers to bring next-generation industrial solutions to the market. The PSOC Control CM3 product line is developed specifically for motor control applications, making it ideal for electric vehicle charging, industrial motor control, robotics, servers, and telecommunications power units (PSUs), as well as smart home appliances.

Infineon PSOC Control C3 microcontroller uses Arm ® Cortex ®- M33 core, capable of real-time control of high-performance motor control products. The built-in 12 bit 12 Msps ADC can perform true synchronous "idle" sampling on up to 16 analog signals, increasing the speed of generating results by up to 25% without any sampling jitter, while its CORDIC accelerator can shut down the CPU and improve the computing power for real-time critical tasks. The PSOC MCU also integrates a programmable timer/counter pulse width modulator (TCPWM) with a motion interface (MOTIF) block for transmitting motor control signals. These specialized subsystems enable PSOC MCUs to reduce system Bill of Materials (BOM) while improving the performance of next-generation products. PSOC Control MCU has been certified by PSA ™ Level 2 certification with advanced security features such as encryption, secure boot, and process isolation. This MCU also comes with ModusToolbox ™ Ready to use code examples and development tools supported by software suites.

Infineon has provided two development kits for the PSOC Control C3 microcontroller. The PSOC Control C3M5 evaluation kit is used to develop motor control solutions using PSOC Control C3. This kit includes a PSOC Control C3M5 EVK board, a USB Type-A to USB Type-C converter ® Cable, jumper, and quick start guide. The PSOC Control C3M5 complete system motor control kit provides a C3M5 motor control card for use with power level evaluation boards to develop motor control solutions.
